Welsh Choir based in Ferndale in the Rhondda Valleys just north of Cardiff. Our repertoire consists of traditional Welsh hymns and folk songs with a smattering of pop, shanty, folk music songs from the shows with Church and Opera choruses. Formed in 1928 we own our own rehearsal space and have travelled over the world singing in over 25 different countries. Former Eisteddford winners and we are available to sing anywhere. We are 28 singing members with a 2 person musical Team.

Members of the choir are drawn from all ages and occupations: our youngest choristers are under 25 years old, our oldest over 70, and we have plumbers and electricians, company directors and managers, office workers, students, and IT Specialists, all united by a love of singing.

Over the years Côr Meibion Morlais has been fortunate to recruit enthusiastic and loyal choristers who have ensured the choir’s survival through tumultuous decades of unemployment, war and social change. Fashions in music come and go, but the thread of enjoyment and fulfillment has never broken, and is as strong as ever as we face the challenges of the future: this is one history which is far from over!
