Ella Morgan is a powerhouse singer-songwriter distinguished by her soulful voice, sharp words, and heavy guitar style.

Her music depicts scenes of love, loss, depravity…. and the devil – in all it’s mysterious and alluring forms – with a biblical metaphors and brutal honesty. Ella’s flair for seamlessly fusing humour and the harrowing darkness of being human leaves audiences unsure if they should be crying or laughing, but always feeling something.

Influenced predominantly by music of the 60’s, 70’s and 90’s, Ella’s sound is nostalgic, but somehow fresh in the way she writes with such cander. Ella Morgan looks to artists such as Alice in Chains, Janis Joplin, Jeff Buckley, Dire Straits, Queens of the Stoneage, Iggy Pop, PJ Harvey, The Dead Weather, Jack White, Susan Tadeschi, and Etta James for inspiration.

Ella lives in London, but hails from New Zealand (via Kent). Her music career began at 14 with a furious busking habit, strictly playing grunge covers from the MTV unplugged sessions of the late 90’s.

These days, Ella is typically found prancing around in gogo boots at the front of her rock band, Hella Morgan, playing weekly in various packed out toilet venues in London and beyond.

2025 will see Hella Morgan releasing multiple singles, playing festivals and going on a mini-tour around the South of England in Autumn.
